Welcome to the Chattanooga Bass Bug Classic!


This a fly fishing only bass fishing tournament held on the Nick-a-Jack reservoir section of the Tennessee River in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and hosted by Choo Choo Fly and Tackle and Outdoor Chattanooga. The purpose of the tournament is to create proceeds benefiting the Chattanooga Chambliss Children's Home and Shelter while offering a very competitive and fun tournament in which to participate.  This event is one of the only few of its kind in the United States, and we are very excited to have such an event in the heart of the South where bass fishing and it's anglers are the best.  Come join us!

Chattanooga Chambliss Children's Home and Shelter

The purpose of this children's shelter is to preserve family unity and to help prevent the dependency, neglect, abuse and delinquency of children by responding to the community's childcare needs. All proceeds from the Chattanooga Bass Bug Classic benefit this home and shelter and its fishing program. Check them out at www.ch-cs.org.
Chambliss Children's Home and Shelter Fishing Rodeo

Every year the Chambliss Home hosts a fishing rodeo at a private farm lake near Chattanooga, and takes all of the children fishing and introduces them to the outdoors. This past year, Choo Choo Fly and Tackle was able to use part of the proceeds from the tournament and assit the home with their fishing rodeo. Choo Choo Fly and Tackle provided the guides, equipment, and bait. There, the children were able to catch brim, bass, and crappie, and had a great time fishing. Also, Choo Choo Fly and Tackle helps to facilitate another fishing rodeo for the Chambliss Home and Shelter in the spring of every year on a TWRA stocked trout lake near Chattanooga. Choo Choo Fly and Tackle provides their guide staff, fishing equipment, and lures for this event to make sure the children have a productive and mermorable experience.
